White rabbit with a pocket watch

Hiya fellas!

I'm beginning to think that it is impossible for me to update this blog regularly. The problem is, when I actually do something that would be worthwhile to update I'm most likely not taking photos of the event, but enjoying it fully. I suck at blogging, haha... but yeah I actually came to babble a bit about the past couple of days weeks months.

Some of you probably know that I'm attempting to graduate this spring. That means the whole year I have been juggling several school projects to get points, working on my thesis and the project going with it, filling up my portfolio and on my spare time, practicing burlesque.

Boohoo my laptop is all dusty.

Also, I have an art exhibition coming up soonish. I'm up to my elbows in paint but then again I really enjoy painting! I just have a very tight schedule, which sucks because I would really like to spent even more time to finish up each painting. :I

Some works in progress!

We also have another burlesque gig coming up, so I have been making props, mainly new pasties. I really like making them, even though I'm still not very skilled at it... But well, my boobies ain't complaining. :D

Very basic red hearts. I wore these in my Little Red Riding Hood act in Never Grow Old.

Turmion Kätilöt theme pasties! Just had to. xD

These are for my upcoming act... can anyone guess the theme? ;)

Next Sunday I'm also going to model again, it has been ages since I have been in front of a camera. I'm really, really excited about the project! The photographer gave me a little something beforehand to make preparations... guess what we'll be shooting? :D

Forget about penis envy, those fangs are HUGE!

Fangbanger much?
Of course, I have had some free time also. I have spent it visiting friends and relatives, having friends over at our place, partying, playing Magic the Gathering and Dungeons and Dragons... oh yeah and I turned 24 in the end of February also. Too bad I didn't take any pictures from my party, it was Alice in Wonderland -themed. :) I also ordered something nice for myself from ebay afterwards.

Squee~! Absinthe spoon! It cost  around ten euros with postage. :3

And these beauties! I needed a new pair of party heels for winter since my loyal Pleasers are finally falling apart after 4 years of excessive wearing. :< But these are so pretty! Cheap too, around 30 euros with postage.

Truth to be told I have been shopping quite a lot, but only second hand. I cleaned up our closets and threw out/sold/donated dosens of kilos of clothes and well, there wasn't much left so I really needed some new basic everyday wear. I might show those items too, depends whether Wolf is willing to take photos. :3

Meh, my life has been busy as hell lately, I'm hoping summer won't be nearly as hard. I have been looking for a perfect job after graduation, and I hope I can start already during summer but still, it cannot be this hard. :D But to all to my readers: happy springtime, Easter is coming up and that means CHOCOLATE. ;3

Walking in the air

So... I've had this one project like a year or so... :D About a year ago I found a classic pair of "stripper heels" from a local flea market. They were in a really bad shape. The once transparent glue had turned orange/brown, they were really dirty and all the straps were ragged. However, I was somewhat drawn to them and decided to buy them. I cleaned them and tried to do something about the straps... with little success. However. This is how they looked back then...

Mulla on ollut yksi projekti keskeneräsenä varmaan vuoden... :D Noin vuosi sitten ostin sellaset stripparikorkkarit paikalliselta kirppikseltä. Ihan paskakuntoset.

Well at least the picture was good since I took in on our photography class at school. :D But anyway. I wasn't happy with the straps so I decided to take the whole shoes apart and replace them with something nicer. I also had this rather wacky idea for the plateau... Taking the shoe apart was hard work and gluing it back together was even more bitchy. xD The results wasn't quite as good as I had hoped since the glue was... well... nevermind. Anyway, here's how the shoes turned out!

Noh kuva on ainaki hyvä, otin tuon koulun valokuvauskurssilla. :D Kummiski.

So as you can see I replaced the straps with satin ribbon and added studs and pink fake leather inside the  heels & plateaus. It was a good idea I think, but the gluing could have been better. :P Anyway, I would totally like to know what you think about this DIY project! And what you would have done with the transparent plateaus? I read somewhere that they even put living goldfish and water in those in the 70's.... I wonder if it's true? o_o

Waiting for death

Ugh... I'm sick. I feel weak and my heart is racing. I was supposed to have two pre x-mas parties today, but... well, at least I have time to update this thing. I haven't shown you the things I have bought since the summer so... maybe I'll show you now?

Ugh... olen sairaana.

Fist, some jewellery. The bat necklace I bought from Insanity quite a while ago. The bat earrings I got from huuto.net to go with it. Recently I also bought real wolf fangs for me and Wolf from ebay. All of the jewellery cost me only a few euros.

This Demonia wallet is also from ebay. It cost 15-20 euros... I can't remember how much exactly. I have been looking for a perfect wallet for like a year or so... and this definitely is it. <3

And then some pvc clothing! :D The dress and the catsuit are both from ebay. Together they cost around 50e. The dress is dreamy but the catsuit is a bit too short for my back... I'll probably wear it mostly in the bedroom. ;)

The shoes in the picture are also new (for me). The Demonia boots are from huuto.net... I have to say they were a bit expensive considering their condition... scratches, one buckle broken and one panel missing and they cost me 80e with postage if I remember correctly. Still, I fixed the buckle with a huge safety pin, removed the panels and now I love them. :> The New Rock shoes seemed brand new when I found them from a flea market and they only cost 40e so I just had to rescue them... Clearly the person selling them didn't appreciate this poor pair enough. ;D

The best flea market find of the year. As good as new 8 bit NES, two controllers and Super Mario Bros. only 2 euros!! And as you can see works like a dream. I had one of these like fourteen years ago but I borrowed it to my cousin and never got it back... :D But yayyy now I have one again. I've been playing it like mad... :D

Well that's about it. :> Merry Christmas to my readers and a Happy New Year if I don't blog anything before the end of the year. <3

Siinäpä ne. :> Hyvää Joulua ja Onnellista Uutta Vuotta lukijoille jos en postaile enää ennen vuoden loppua. <3

Dark matter

Well, actually more like... black materia or something. :D In other words: my recent shopping. ;>

:D Viime aikojen shoppailut toisin sanoen. ;>

The grey t-shirt is from a flea market, 1e. It has two bats printed on it and a text that says "lord oh lord". :D The skeleton hoodie used to belong to my sister but she gave it to me. <3 Thanks sis. <3 The red pvc top is from Phaze and I bought it from a friend for 10e. The leather shorts are from Leather Heaven's booth and they cost me 10e (and I was super happy about that, since the original prize tag said 79e!!).

I went to see Marjo Väisänen's Upiaa pin-uppia photography exhibition recently with Wolf and he bought me a card from there. :> It cost 2e. My friend brought me the Prkl bange from Tuska. :3

And last but not least... I found the perfect pair of pvc stilettos for the summer! Too bad it's almost autumn already... :D Anyway, the shoes cost me only 2,5e at the local flea market. They are hand made and have metal heelpieces. And oh that wonderful lacing... <3

Viimeisimpänä vaan ei vähäisimpänä... Löysin täydellisen parin pvc-stilettoja kesää ajatellen! Harmi että on melkein syksy... :D Joka tapauksessa maksoin näistä vaivaiset 2,5e paikallisella kirpparilla. <3

That's about it. Except I have also bought a pair of basic pinstripe pants, black baggy pants and black shorts (which can be spotted in the first pics). I was too lazy to photograph them since they are not that interesting... But now you will have to excuse me. I have my last day at work tomorrow and I am going to go make pancakes for my colleagues. ;P

A quick summer tutorial

Omistan ihanat Iron Fistin Wolfeaterit, valitettavasti noin puoli numeroa liian suurina. Viime kesänä löysin kuitenkin ratkaisun ongelmaan (okei kopioin idean upealta Bettie Blackheartilta, haha :D ). Joka tapauksessa laitan idean kiertoon pienen tutoriaalin muodossa! :3

I have this gorgeous pair of Iron Fist Wolfbeater heels, unfortunately the are about half a size too big for me. Last summer, however I found a solution for the problem (ok I stole the idea from the fabulous Bettie Blackheart haha :D ). Anyway, I'll share this little tutorial with you now! :3

You'll need a gorgeous pair of little bit too big heels and satin lace (about one meter per shoe).

Pujota nauha kengät ali...

The lace goes under the shoe...

Päältä ristiin ja taakse...

Cross the lace on top and pull the ends back...

Sido rusetille...

Tie a bow...

Valmis! Suloinen ja mukava kävellä. :3

And done! Pretty and comfortable to walk. :3

If you want you can of course tilt the bow to the front or on the side.

Siinäpä se, mukavaa kesää kaikkien varpaille. <3

That was it, happy summer to everyone's toes. <3

Treasure hunting

Woah, another post for this week (see, I am trying!!). :D Anyway, I wanna show you some of the recent treasures I have managed to find. :3

This small shelf was originally white. I bought it from a flea market a while ago, I think it cost less that 2e... then I just painted it black. Now it holds our umbrellas, sunglasses, shopping bags, lighter etc. by the front door because we always forget to take those things with us when leaving the house. :D

I already had the Absolut Vodka Rock Edition bottle skin but recently I found the Masquerade skin too! Yay I've been looking for that for ages! And it only cost 50 cents at a flea market. :P

I bought a lamp from a flea market but the bastard didn't work! I returned it and thank goodness the seller agreed to take it back. Anyway it was a bit of trouble for me so I marched straight to Kodin 1 and found this terrible piece of lighting. :D It was last one, all dusty and hanging in the ceiling and the sales person agreed to sell it for me for only 9e and I also got the light bulb attached to it for free. Anyway, since orange isn't really my color I decided to paint the whole thing black. Here's how it turned out.

I think it's just perfect for me, a match made in heaven. <3 Well, at least for now. I still want to modify it a bit though... maybe I'll add some white lace to it or something? Or feathers! :D Ps. this is our "huge" kitchen, what do you think, should I show you the rest of our place too? :3

I bought these shoes for my sister's graduation party. They only cost 1,5e, however, they seemed a bit too boring for me. So I took some studs that are originally from my old Demonia Torments and pimped them a bit. Here's the result!

Somehow, they remind me of Lady Gaga. :D And of course they are bad ass. ;P Anyway, they are supposed to go with this faux leather dress that I made from an old skirt. :3

This other outfit (vest + skirt) is a flea market find. The whole thing cost only 2e and for some reason I get this  cool steam punk vibe from it. :D Also I think it's quite old and excellent quality. By the way, I'm sorry I have virtually no make up on in these photos. I had a terrible hangover and I just didn't feel like putting on much for a day home... :D

These hoodies aren't actually new, but I made them both smaller so they feel new to me now. :D I especially love the Type O Negative hoodie which is an old flea market find and huge in size. I took it in severely and now it looks like a dress, how cool is that? xD

And last but not least I found more bones when I visited our summer cottage again! Here are those. I think the long one is a rib from a seal and the small one is upper jaw of some bird, maybe a shelduck.

So... there was all this new stuff I've gotten. :P And now I want to ask you... do you think it would be better to change the language of this blog to Finnish? For now I seem to have only Finnish readers but... I sort of like this language and of course it's good for my language skills. ;P What do you think, should I?

Le Maistre Chat, ou Le Chat Botté

Hi again! I have had a very good week indeed since some of my recent purchases have finally arrived home! I havent actually updated any of my shopping here for a while so maybe I'll just do that now. :3

First things first: shoes. <3 My beloved old military boots have reached the end of their journey at least when it's wet outside. They have huge holes in them... Actually allmost all my shoes have holes or they are otherwise broken so I decided to buy a couple of new pairs. The fake UGG boots were from flea market and cost only 2e. Something to wear in winter for flea market shopping and lazy and lonely days in school. The New Rock shoes and the Converse sneakers were actually a very, VERY late birthday gift from myself and Wolf. Both pairs are from huuto.net. New Rock shoes cost about 80e with postage and the Converse sneakers were 25e with postage. So together 105e. Both pairs were in really good shape and I simply adore them. <3 Now I have comfy but bad ass enough shoes for both summer and winter, yay! Money well spent. :3

This skirt I bought propably a month ago from a flea market. It only cost 30cents! I simply love small town flea markets, stuff there us sooooo cheap. <3

Finally, some basic, everyday clothing. The opened a new flea market near our home couple of months ago and I made awesome findings immediately! Levi's 501 jeans cost 1,50e and they are in really good shape! The basic black top cost 10cents and so did the basic black hoodie. So cheap. *____*

I have all this clothing now, but I still don't know what should I wear this weekend. I'm going out drinking & dancing with one of my girlfriends and even though I'm very much looking forward to it I'm nervous. Wolf isn't coming with us since he's attenting this school related drinking fest (:D) and I'm not sure if I want to look as trashy as I usually do without him. ._. You know I really love him and most of the time I dress up just for him... for myself too, but... Argh I guess I'm just worried I will either get too much unwanted attention or that I'll look and feel like a total wall flower. -_-; You guys ever have these kind of issues? Agh, despite of feeling like a total man most of the time I must be a girl after all... Closet full of clothes and nothing to wear. :D
