Dream Home Heartache

Ah! I have had really awesome couple of days! I got a call on Friday and it was the CEO of the advertising agency, where I used to be a trainee. I was asked to be a temp there again (I helped out a few weeks ago also) starting from Monday, so there I am once again, fondling InDesign, doing my dream job, yay! Ahhhhh what I would give to work there permanently, it really is my dream place to work. I hope I can at least be a temp there every now and then. :3

But yeah, I also have another agenda for this post! I finally got around taking photos of our new batcave, so a little show and tell can be arranged. I'm personally a huge fan of home decor, I love finding new pieces to our little home, especially second hand, and also reading and looking at pictures of other people's homes, especially gothic, victorian and fetish themed homes. If you know any good blogs, tumblrs or sites about beautiful home decor, please let me know! I would also love to see your homes. :) But now, it's picture time!

So this is what you see when you walk in! Shoes, pole, gaming Mr. Wolf... :D

And this, when you look back. Pretty bare still, I would like to get a new lamp at least, and maybe some small table on top of Béla's litter box. Then again I love the space, it is really handy when practicing burlesque routines!

A closer look of the living room/office/kitchen. We finally got a new couch when we moved in (for the cat to destroy, obviously, haha). ♥

My tiny work spot. I really need a bigger desk, but so far I haven't found a decent one, blah. I could move that one to entrance hall if I could find a replacement. :p

The kitchen. Love the tiles, the cupboard doors... not so much. But yeah, it's decent and surprisingly spacious. I would like to get more lime elements to it (haha, my secret love: neon colors ♥). 

And here's our living room from opposite direction. Got room for climbing on my pole, exercising, playing with Béla... Btw, gotta love Matlock. :D

Next up, toilet, shower and sauna. Super spacious, almost too spacious actually, otherwise really nice.Except that white floor! It get's stains really easily and I have already destroyed it a bit with hair dye... shiiiiiiiit.

Same room, another direction. I would love to get more storage spaces, like some sort of cabinet...

Last but not least: the bedroom. It's small, but I like it a lot. :3 Behind the bed we actually have a miniature fridge for storing cold drinks! :D Oh, the hedonism... ♥

Next to the door, my bone collection. ♥ And four very, very narrow cabinets for clothes! Definitely need more room for them... The cabinet for my fetish wear is actually in the entrance hall, next to our main door... u_u;

So! This is our new home. :3 What do you think? Also, I would love for you to show and tell me about your homes, rooms, cottages and, well, any house decor really! ♥

Batcave 2.0

Hiya! Man it has been busy! Shit hit the fan here so to speak... About two weeks ago, right before Kuopio Rockcock a water pipe exploded in our apartment. Of course we informed our landlord and repair guys came to check the damages. Apparently they didn't realize how bad it was though, since a few days later we noticed that one of our walls was growing mold. D: The next day they told us theat the apartment had to go under construction and offered us a pretty much identical apartment in the same building but different floor. So, pretty much without a warning we had to move. And shit fuck we got STUFF. It took us nearly a week to move everything... and the plumbing has been working poorly in the new apartment as well. >:( But now that everything is fixed and in place I'll give you a small tour around our Batcave 2.0. :D

Heissan! Hyi saatana ku on ollu kiireistä! Paska osui täällä päässä tuulettimeen niinsanotusti... Parisen viikkoa sitten just ennen Kuopio Rockcokcia meidän asunnossa räjähti vesiputki. Ilmoitettiin asiasta vuokranantajalle ja remppamiehet kävi tarkastamassa tuhot ja fiksaamassa putken mutta eivät ilmeisesti ihan tajunneet vahinkojen laajuutta koska muutamia päiviä myöhemmin huomattiin että meidän seinä on ihan homeessa. D: Seuraavana päivänä meille sitten ilmoitettiin että kämppä menee remonttiin ja meille tarjottiin asuntoa samasta kerrostalosta, paria kerrosta alempaa vaan. Melkolailla identtinen kämppä kyseessä. Mutta tosiaan aikalailla ilman varoitusta jouduttiin muuttohommiin. Ja voi hevin vittu oliko meille ees kertyny TAVARAA. Meni melkeen viikko että saatiin kaikki muutettua ja paikoilleen... ja täällä toimii viemärit kirjaimellisesti paskasti. :>:( Mutta. Nyt kun kaikki alkaa viimein olla korjattuna ja paikoillaan niin ajattelin postata pienen esittelykierroksen meidän Lepakkoluola 2.0:sta. :D

Mmmmmmh our little love nest. <3 My dad bought that lovely mirror from IKEA when he heard I had wanted it like three years but thought it was too expensive considering it's usefulness... :D On the wall also a couple of H. R. Giger post cards from his museum in Switzerland and in the bookshelf our collection of erotic literature and Warhammer books. :D

Mmmmmmh meidän pikku lemmenluola. <3 Mun isä osti mulle tuon ihanan IKEA-peilin kun se kuuli että oon himoinnu sitä viimeset kolme vuotta mutta en kyseenalaisen hinta/hyötysuhteen takia raaskinut sitä itselleni ostaa... :D Seinällä myös pari H. R. Giger -museosta ostettua postikorttia ja kirjahyllyssä meidän eroottisen kirjallisuuden kokoelma ja vitusti Warhammereita. :D

In the IKEA-shelves the rest of our books, movies etc... Wonder when it'll crash. :D

Hyllyissä kaikki loput kirjat ja leffat... Romahdusta ootellessa. :D

And... our tiny sofa. :D I love to sleep on it (leather!) but I'd like a bigger one so Wolf would fit in better with me. :D

Jaaaa meidän pikkuinen sohva. :D Tykkään niin paljon nukkua tuossa koska ihanaa nahkaa mutta haluaisin isomman niin mahduttaisiin Susihukan kanssa paremmin nukkumaan yhdessä siinä. :D

Victorian

I've always loved stairways and hallways in old Victorian houses. Since I had a tiny hallway of my own I decided to make it look like one of those beautiful staircases with historical paintings, well, as much as possible. I bought different kind of frames (paid like 1 or 2 euros each), painted them black and put some nice pictures of me and Wolf inside them. Here's how it turned out!

Olen aina rakastanut viktoriaanisten talojen portaikkoja ja käytäviä. Koska meiltäkin löytyy pikkuinen pala käytävää päätin yrittää tehdä siitä mahdollisimman samannäköise kuin nuo upeat portaikot vanhoine muotokuvineen. Muotokuviksi ostin erilaisia kehyksiä eurolla tai parilla kirppiksiltä, maalasin ne mustiksi ja laitoin sisään kuvia minusta ja Susihukasta. Tällainen siitä tuli!

 

I also purchased a new mat for our kitchen, since the old one was so ragged and mats were on sale in Anttila a while ago. This cost around... 13e? Somehow I ended up choosing pink... I have no idea why but we have pink kitchen now. :D

Ostin myös uuden maton keittiöön, edellinen oli jo sellaisessa kunnossa ettei sitä edes pesu ja parsinneula enää pelastanut ja Anttilassa sattui olemaan matot alessa tuossa taannoin. Tämä maksoi muistaakseni jotain 13e? Jostain syystä päädyin ottamaan pinkin, joten meillä on nyt sitten pinkki keittiö. :D

Second hand faith is all I need

Hi again! It's raining cats and dogs outside so it's a great day to do a little blogging. :> I thought that today I could update my recent (and not so recent) shopping.

Hei taas. Ulkona sataa kaatamalla, joten on hyvä päivä bloggailla vähän. :> Ajattelin postata tänään viimeaikaisia (ja ei niin viimeaikaisia) ostoksiani.

Let's begin with the camo top from the flea market, 50 cents. Basic and useful. :P Then the black porcelain mask from the flea market also. Can't remember the price, I think it was 1,50 or 2 euros... cheap anyway. I hung it over our hallway mirror. :>

Aloitetaan camotopilla joka on irtosi kirppikseltä 50 sentillä. Kätevä perusvaate. :P Tuo musta posliininaamio on myös kirppikseltä. En muista tarkkaa hintaa, mutta olisiko ollut 1,50 tai 2 euroa.... halpa kummiski. Ripustin sen eteisen peilin päälle. :>

Fluff pillbox I bought from a booth at midsummer fest. It was only 3 euros and since if I'm not on any meds except the Implanon implant I'm going to use it as a wallet. :>

Fluffin dosetin ostin kojusta juhannuksena. Hinta oli vaivaiset 3 euroa ja koska minulla ei ole muita lääkityksiä kuin Implanonin ehkäisykapseli aijon käyttää sitä kukkarona. :>

The larger photo frames are from a nearby flea market, 1,50 each. I'm going to paint them black. :3 The leather frame is from a flea market also, I think it was 1 or 1,5 euros... Notice the picture of me and Wolf from the last zombiewalk in Oulu. :D

Isommat kehykset läytyivät kirpparilta, 1,50 kappale. Malaan ne vielä mustaksi. :3 Nahkainen kehys on myös kiirppislöytö, olisiko ollut euron tai puolitoista... Huomatkaa kuva minusta ja Susihukasta Oulun viime zombiewalkista. :D

A leather pencil case for Wolf, I guess it was 1e or less. The skull pencil case for myelf, 50 cents if I remember correctly. And the can was 50 cents too I suppose.

Nahkainen penaali Susihukalle, maksoi muistaakseni euron tai vähemmän. Kallopenali itselleni, olisiko ollut 50 senttiä. Purkki samaten jos oikein muistan.

Baby pink sunglasses, 1e from a flea market. In some perverse way I really like these. xD

Vaaleanpunaiset arskat eurolla kirppikseltä. Jollain perverssillä tavalla tykkään näistä kovasti. xD

A leather collar from a flea market, 3e. I've been thinking about getting a similar one from Deviant but I got lucky! o/

Nahkainen kaulapanta kirppikseltä, 3e. Olin ajatellut ostaa vastaavanlaisen Deviantista mutta minua onnisti. o/

2 bags, larger one is Marimekko and it cost me 1e and the smaller one is a German army bread bag, 6e. Both are from a nearby flea market.

2 laukkua, isompi on Marimekon ja maksoi vaivaisen euron ja pienempi on Saksan armeijan leipälaukku joka kustansi 6e. Molemmat löytyivät läheiseltä kirppikseltä.

A small pillow covered with sequins. I think this was 1,50e or 2e at flea market.

Pieni paljettityyny, hintaa taisi olla 1,50 tai 2 euroa kirppiksellä.

A "Happy cat" bottle was 2e and the corset bottle... I guess 2e if I remember correctly. Both from a flea market.

"Happy cat" -pullo 2e ja korsettipullo... muistaakseni myös 2e. Molemmat kirppikseltä.

Two skulls. The one on the left is a skull of a bear and the one on the right is from a reindeer. They cost me 10e each. I just couldn't resist the appealing stare of those empty eye sockets... :D

Kaksi kalloa. Vasemmanpuoleinen on peräisin karhusta ja oikeanpuoleinen porosta. Nuo kustansivat minulle kympin kappaleelta. En voinut vastustaa noiden tyhjien silmäkuoppien vetoavaa tuijotusta... :D

I also updated our bedroom a bit. You see, previously I used to sit on the couch with my laptop but when I got my first paycheck for the summer I decided it was time for me to get a proper working space and (finally) a new tablet. I decided to locate my new headquarters in our bedroom so one of the two shelves had to go to make room for the table. Me and Wolf dumbster dived the table so it was free, I just painted it glossy black and the chair I bought from a flea market with 10e and painted that too. At the same time I changes out bedspread for something more comfortable and relocated the paintings. What do you think? :>

Päivittelin myös meidän makkaria hieman. Datasin ennen sohvalla läppäri sylissä mutta nyt kun sain kesän ekan palkan päätin laittaa itselleni kunnollisen työtilan ja (viimeinkin) uuden piirtopöydän. Päätin sijoittaa uuden päämajani makkariin, joten toinen hyllyistä sai tehdä tilaa pöydälle. Dyykattiin tuo pöytä Susihukan kanssa, eli se oli ilmainen, maalasin sen vain kiiltävän mustaksi ja tuolin ostin kirppikseltä kympillä ja maalasin senkin. Samalla vaihdoin päiväpeitteen mukavampaan ja siirsin tauluja. Mitä tykkätte? :>

And then, last but not least... the tablet. I decided to go with Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touch from Verkkokauppa.com. Wolf even installed it for me last night when I was asleep, thank you honey. <3 So far I have been satisfied with it. :>

Viimeisimpänä, vaan ei vähäisimpänä... piirtopöytä.. Päädyin verkkokauppa.comin Wacom Bamboo Pen & Touchiin. Susihukka jopa asensi tämän minulle sillä aikaa kun nukuin viime yönä, kiitos kulta. <3 Tähän mennessä olen ollut tyytyväinen ostokseeni. :>

Phew. I think that was about it. I have also bougth a pair of black shorts and pants, but since they still need to be washed I'll post them later... maybe. They are pretty basic anyway... :D Anyway, I think I'll go do some drawing now. So long and thanks for the fish!

Huh, siinä taisi olla kaikki. Paitsi olen ostanut myös mustat shortsit ja housut, mutta koska ne ovat pyykissä taidan postata ne myöhemmin... ehkä. Ei ne nyt kovin erikoiset ole kummiskaan... :D No mutta häviän tästä piistelemään. Terve ja kiitos kaloista!

Bat cave introduction

Moni blogaaja on viime aikoina intoutunut esittelemään kotikolojaan, niinpä minäkin ajattelin raottaa luolamme ovea teille. :3 Kuvat otin jo jokin aika sitten kevätsiivouksen yhteydessä mutta eipä täällä ole mikään radikaalisti muuttunut... Kohta ajattelin tosin päivittää vähän makkaria ja hankkia itselleni oman työpöydän nyt kun oman alan hommia pitäis alkaa vääntämään. Ostoslistalla on myös Adoben Masters Collection (CS kutosta odotellessa) ja piirtopöytä (joku Wacomin Bamboo ois pop). Mulle saa tosiaan esittää tarjouksia jos jollain on tuota edellämainuttua tabletia myynnissä. :3 Mutta nyt, kuvia!

Many bloggers have been showing around their cribs lately, so I decided to open the door to our cave for you too. :3 The pictures I took a while ago during spring cleaning but nothing has really changed here since then... Although I'm going to update the bedroom a bit soon, I'm going to get a secretary so I can start working in my own field of expertese. I am also hoping to buy Adobe Masters Collection (still waiting for CS 6) and a tablet (preferably Wacom Bamboo). And if somebody is willing to sell me one that'd be awesome. :3 But now, pictures!

Aloitan kylpyhuoneesta, joka on pieni. Sinne mahtui kuitenkin kaikki tarpeellinen, jopa pyykkikone (jota tosin en käytä, koska talonyhtion kone on huomattavasti isompi ja nopeampi). Joskus vielä haluan asunnon josta löytyy kylpyamme!

I'll start with the bathroom, whis is small. However, it contains everything I we need, even the washing machine (which is not in use, because our apartment building provides a bigger and faster one). Someday I want an apartment which has a bath tub!

Eteinen. Ei juuri mitään sanottavaa, palvelee tarkoitustaan. :D

Hallway. Nothing much to say, serves it's purpose. :D

Tämän kuvan olette oikeastaan jo nähneet, mutta... keittiö. Näin pieneksi tilaksi täällä mahtuu yllättävän hyvin leipomaan!

This picture you have already seen, but... kitchen. For a space this small It's actually quite spacious when baking!

Olkkari, täällä vietän eniten aikaani. Nytkin mähötän tässä sohvalla ja kirjoitan tätä. Kirjoituspöytä on Susihukan pääkallopaikka. Siinä se yleensä kokottää. :D

Living room, here I spent most of my time. Even now I'm sitting on the sofa and writing this entry. The bureau is Wolf's headquarters. He usually idles at that. :D

Viimeisenä, vaan ei vähäisimpänä: kutuluola eli makkari. ;) Varmaankin lempihuoneeni, tosin vaatii vielä fiksailua, haluaisin siitä enemmän bordello chic -tyylisen. :P

Last but not least: love nest a.k.a. the bedroom. ;) Probably my favorite room, but still needs a bit of work, I would like it to look more bordello chic. :P

Eli tällaisessa luolassa sitä asustellaan. :3 Neliöitä on muuten vain 40,5 ja tämä on entinen opiskelijasolupari, mutta viihdytään hyvin, sillä vuokra on halpa, koulu lähellä ja naapurit mahtavia. <3

So here's how we live. :3 Btw, we have only 40,5 square meters space and this was a student dorm before, but we like it here, since the rent is cheap, the school is close by and the neighbors are awesome. <3
