Woe to him whom Ishtar had honoured

Hello hello! ♥ I meant to update during the few free days of Easter holiday, but as it turns out they weren't free at all. I got this huge article (in pretty advanced English, too) and had to do a presentation plus I also had to write a ten page essay during my "holiday". Oh and some smaller works too, so I spent my extended weekend on computer but sadly not blogging... oh well, all done now and since this week will be nearly as busy I thought I simply have to do this now! I have just some random photos from Easter weekend and the week before that but... oh yeah and also pictures of some second hand finds I've done recently! Here we go!

During Easter in Finland you simply have to have mämmi! It looks kinda like shit, but tastes really good, especially with whipped vanilla sauce! Sprinkled some cinnamon on top of it too. Nomnomnom!

I decided to buy these Easter eggs this year. The Marabou ones are my favorite, simply delicious! Wolf's favorite candy is liquorice, so I bought that black liquorice-chocolate egg for him and he definitely loved it! The mint chocolate one was good too, and they were cheap so I'll probably buy them in the future too. :3

A & R asked us out for drinks and we decided to go to local cocktail bar called 1bar. The drinks were called Dajmannes I think, and oh gosh they were delicious! Kind of like Dajm & chocolate milkshake (with booze of course haha). I strongly recommend a visit to one bar if you happen to be in Oulu!

Wolf also made the most delicious black pasta with salmon! I love to eat everything fish, mostly it's tuna though, but he found this half price salmon piece from the nearby store and decided to surprise me.

I mentioned in the last post that I had my birthday in February. Wolf ordered these batty pieces of jewellery from Restyle. I love them, but the earrings are a bit too heavy for everyday use and my lobes become sore! Haha, I guess you do have to suffer a bit for beauty! :D

I have also done some second hand shopping, the jeans and shirt are both from a local flea market and cost only a couple of euros.

Super strange but I actually bought a dress with color! And such a bold pattern too. It's really comfy and I think it suits my body nicely. The dress was second hand and cost two euros, originally it's from H&M I think. I would love to have this dress in black, too...

This fake fur coat was an impulse buy from an SPR second hand store in Seinäjoki, since it cost only two euros and I desperately needed a new winter coat. It was a total pain in the ass to drag back to Oulu but I simply couldn't resist it, haha!

Last but not least, red sequin dress and wetlook leggings! Ahaha, I look like such a party girl. :D A perfect disguise was in order since I have several free drink tickets for local club Tivoli... I went there once with a friend and didn't actually... fit in. Well I like that outfit in some perverse way even though it's not very me. :D

Hmmmhmm I better go now since I have to get up early tomorrow for school and I still need to do some burlesque before bed. But before I go I want to ask you readers... do you sometimes buy clothes that are... I don't know... unyou? Nearly hideous maybe? But still something in them just draws you to them hissing: "My preciousssssss..!" Or am I the only one? :D

  1. Oh, of course you can think that the glittery things on the red dress are a little bit burlesque-ish! ;)

In my "deepest" metalhead years I once bought a pink t-shirt with bunny print in it. The bunny resembled somehow Miffy (http://ict.tackching.edu.hk/~071111/miffy7.jpg) and it had a flower in its other paw. The shirt cost 5 euros and I wore it in kind of ironic way, so maybe it doesn't count. (For some reason I'm often taking a look at wetlook leggings in shops, although they wouldn't really fit my style at all...:D)

    1. Hey that's true! :O I wouldn't have thought that but yes it does have something burlesque-ish about it!

Wetlook is oddly facinating material. :D It rarely suits well to anyone but it looks and feels so nice in the rack... *_____*

Black pasta and chocolate booze. Oh yes! This post is simply delicious! I'm looking up a recipe of mämmi. It looks like something I'd eat compulsively.

    1. Yes! I have no idea what is cost originally, but even in that second hand shop it used to be 15 euros or so before! I guess they were making room for the summer... fine for me. ^_^

Mämmi is weird... it's not really that good by itself but when you add regular or vanilla cream it's heavenly. <3 Also for Finns it's probably quite nostalgic food since nearly everyone has had that as a child. :3

  3. I had too google the recipe for mämmi and it seems very odd. Wonder what it takes like...
I love your odd fashion findings. I would never bought the red dress but it looks so nice on you. I tend to buy strange vintage clothes with weird patterns, saying oh! and then hiding them in the closet back home :)

    1. It's hard to describe... it is sweet and a bit... bitter at the same time. Quite sharp taste. But you are supposed to eat with cream and sugar!

Haha! I have a thing for odd vintage clothes as well! As a teen most of my favorite clothes came from my mom's and grandma's closets! :D
